1- Do you have languages courses for young people?
The minimum age for participation on a standard programme is 16. Where there is a group formed of students below the age of 16 with the same level we can open a course for the group, however if this is not the case we are able to offer private classes.
2- Do you offer classes for technical Spanish?
We are able provide specialized classes in technical disciplines; however the product offer depends on the nature of the requirement and the availability of teachers. Please do not hesitate to contact us with your questions!
3- How far in advance to I have to enrol in my course?
a) If a student would just like to take a Spanish course without accommodation the booking can be made directly in Madrid. We will process it in our school and you just have to hand us the registration form together with the appropriate fees. We recommend you do this at least a week prior to course commencement.
If the enrolment is being made from another country a deposit must be paid into our account. Once we receive notification of receipt from the bank we will send the student a letter of confirmation for their course. This process can take between one and two weeks.
b) If a student wishes to book accommodation alongside their course the booking will be made in the same way regardless of whether it is being made from Madrid or from overseas. We require registration at least a month before course begin, especially during the summer months.
6- Is it possible to stay with a friend or acquaintance who is taking a course at your school?
Only students enrolled on our programmes are permitted to stay in our apartments. However, we recommend contacting the school secretary if you are expecting a visit from a friend or relative in case there is a vacancy, especially during summer months.
8- Can I get a letter of acceptance from the school to apply for a visa in another country?
Yes. The student should send us the completed registration form, outlining the type of course and the dates required.
If you need a letter of acceptance to get a visa for your studies you will need to add an additional 50€ to the total price of your course.
Once the registration form and payment of at least 50% of the fees have been received we will send the student a preliminary confirmation of their Spanish language programme as well as the documentation required to receive a visa. A month prior to the course begin the student must pay the rest of the pending course fees.
Each student is responsible for the management of their visa application. Madrid PLUS can only facilitate by providing the necessary documentation for this process. If the visa is refused Madrid PLUS will reimburse the paid fees with apart from the non-refundable 80€ visa fee which will cover administrative costs as well as bank fees etc. The student needs to inform the school in writing of the visa refusal and provide written evidence of the refusal, for example the official stamp in a passport or an official letter from the corresponding consulate or embassy.
Madrid PLUS will inform the relevant Spanish authorities of the visa refusal or anticipated visa refusal.
